The festival will also include educational demonstrations aimed at raising awareness of traditional farming\, food preparation\, and the cultural value of these important island crops.

DESCRIPTION:Registration is now open for the 23rd Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament on July 26\, 2025\, at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort in Saipan\, The Marianas. Registration forms are available at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort and at the official website of HANMI – Hotel Asso. of the Northern Marianas Islands – at www.saipanhotels.org. \nOpened in 1995\, LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort features a 36-hole golf course designed by PGA Champion Greg Norman\, a world-renowned expert in golf course design. The tournament’s west course reflects Norman’s design philosophy of accurately interpreting and understating the surrounding environment\, and brings together land\, sky\, and sea is an extraordinary golf experience. \nThe HANMI Board has designated the Commonwealth Cancer Association as the main benefactor of this year’s tournament. \nThe early bird tournament fee is $110.00 for CNMI residents and includes an awards banquet at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort immediately following the tournament. Optional play is $30. The fee increases to $130.00 after the early bird deadline on July 11\, 2025. Registration fee for non-CNMI residents is $180 (also includes green fee and awards banquet). Optional play will include Accurate Drive (Hole #1)\, Aggressive Drive (#12) and four chances for Nearest to the Pin (Holes #3\, #7\, #13\, and #17). Showtime is 6:00 a.m.\, and the tournament will have a shotgun start at 7:00 a.m. \nThe tournament is open to the first 144 paid registrants and follows a blackjack double Peoria format. DESCRIPTION:The Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands (HANMI) and the culinary program of Northern Marianas Technical Institute (NMTech) are teaming up again in May 2025 on a cook-off featuring the mouth-watering island staple chicken kelaguen \nThe HANMI-NMTech Chicken Kelaguen Cook-off will be held on the evening of May 24\, 2025\, at the 26th Annual Taste of The Marianas International Food Festival organized by the Marianas Visitors Authority in celebration of Marianas Tourism Month. \nWhat makes a tasty chicken kelaguen?  The basics are shredded roast chicken seasoned with lemon\, green onions\, and salt and wrapped in a warm corn or flour tortilla – shredded coconut or “donne sali” hot pepper are optional. \nRegistration for this year’s competition is open to former and ongoing students of NMTECH’s Culinary Arts Program.  Registration opens on April 1\, 2025\, and is free.  Two-man teams or solo entries are welcomed.  To register\, visit NMTech at Lower Base\, Saipan\, or contact Tomokane at aaron.tomokane@nmtechcnmi.org. DESCRIPTION:Pika Run 5K 2025 Registration Form \nPika Run 5K 2025 Registration Form: https://www.mymarianas.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/Pika-Run-5K-2025-Registration-Form.pdf \nThe iconic Tinian Hot Pepper Festival returns to The Marianas on President’s Day holiday weekend with food\, fun\, and flaming hot spiciness.  The festival will be from 6:30 p.m to 11 p.m. on Feb. 14 and from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Feb. 15.  Food vendors will open at lunchtime.  Festivities will include food sales\, live entertainment\, competitions\, arts\, and crafts sales\, and more on the island of Tinian\, a 10-minute commuter flight from the capitol island of Saipan.
