Saipan, Tinian and Rota each present a wealth of historic, cultural and geographic sites that highlight the unique richness of the Northern Marianas. The best part is, you can easily visit a number of significant sites in a single day due to the intimacy of these small islands.
Memorials along the cliffline honor the loss of the lives of the nearly one-thousand men, women and children who jumped off the hundred foot high cliffs during the waning days of the WWII battle for Saipan.
Inspirational and unhindered panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean can be seen from the cliffside lookout points. Turtles, sharks and the occasional whale, can also be spotted making their way by the cliff. Great views of the Marpi cliffline are also to be had here.
