The mission of the Marianas Visitors Authority is to promote and develop the Northern Mariana Islands as a premier destination of choice for visitors from throughout the world while providing a maximum quality of life for our people. We nurture and encourage cultural interchange and environmental sensitivity for visitors' enjoyment and for our children's children.
The MVA holds office in Saipan, Tinian, Rota, Japan, Korea, and China. We advertise and publicize the Northern Marianas and all it has to offer to the traveling public. We also organize and conduct programs to promote the tourism industry.
The MVA is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors. Five of these members are appointed by the Governor with the advice and conset of the Senate. The remaining four are elected by the members of the MVA. All members servce a term of four years.
Membership in the MVA is open to any person or organization, including but not limited to corporations, partnerships, associations, councils or any other private entity.
