Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands – Following the increasing demand of Japanese travelers to choose the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan, Tinian and Rota) as their holiday destination of choice, JALWAYS commenced new daily services that will connect the CNMI with two cities from Japan. The new service from Haneda, Tokyo and the resumption of the Kansai, Osaka flights are additional flights that will service departing passengers to meet convenient afternoon departures and connections to other international flights JALWAYS operate.
In addition, the flights from Kansai and Haneda will assist in strengthening the CNMI’s tourism Industry. "We are very pleased to see this increased air service that would spark a whole new appeal to both the business professional and recreational travelers. The CNMI definitely has charm and beauty to lure more visitors to the islands. JALWAYS has contributed so much to the CNMI’s tourism industry and with this added seats, the MVA is sure to work aggressively with JALWAYS to ensuring that we jointly market the CNMI effectively in Japan" said Jonas Ogren Managing Director, MVA.
The airlines’ evening service will provide travelers with greater choices and convenience in traveling to Saipan by complementing the airline’s existing Narita-Saipan service, which departs Narita in the morning. Additionally, the Kansai flights are sure to generate an influx of Japanese visitors to the islands.
JALWAYS is currently operating 3 flights from Japan to Saipan. Boeing 767 planes from Haneda and Kansai while their Narita to Saipan operates the Boeing 747 plane.
